Is Beyond Systems a system?

I much rather call it an “approach” or a “method of using basic principles” than a system. The term system often refers to something with clear rules and a specific set of methods or exercises to achieve a certain goal. Beyond Systems is not limited by any such definitions and constantly grows. This doesn’t mean that occasionally it can’t be systematic in its approach to facilitate a certain experience, but it’s core is a certain way of thinking about available tools and perceiving possibilities. Beyond Systems just highlights basic functioning principles of body, mind, emotions, energy and consciousness and creates possibilities to experience them in order for the person studying them to be able to truly understand and know first hand rather than having to believe tome scripture or word of mouth.

Is Beyond Systems fitness training?

There are many aspects we touch on to in Beyond Systems that can enhance your existing fitness training and you will also find plenty of methods that if practiced properly will enable you to train your body to build strength and be more efficient. However Beyond System is not a fitness-style or fitness training like you know it from some workoutclass in your local gym. It’s both more basic on the one side and goes far beyond fitness training on the other. Basic in the sense that you will learn basic principle of propper movement, alignment, and training. Going far beyond fitness becaue Beyond Systems encorporates training of the mind, emotions, energy and consciousness in the mix as we see the human being and life as a whole comprised of all those aspects.

Do I have to be flexible to start with Beyond Systems?

No. Flexibility is not at all required to benefit from Beyond Systems. However, chances are it will greatly improve over time practicing it.

Do I have to learn all those acrobatic moves I see on your Instagram pictures?

The answer is if you want to we can show you, but it is not required to gain huge benefits from Beyond Systems. Things like acrobatic moves are a potential add on, but everyones interests are different. I had people training with us who were full bloddied musicians and had no interest in acrobatics and they loved Beyond Systems. We really focus on providing a solid foundation. Everything else is totally up to the “student” and interested person and the individual strengths and intentions they bring.

Is Beyond Systems therapy?

Is Beyond Systems a martial art?

Why is there a Qigong section on the Beyond Systems website?

Qigong offers a great deal to engaging with the body, the mind and our energy in a healthy, sustainable and also development oriented way. As part of my own history it played a huge role in the development of Beyond Systems as I experienced both the benefits aswell as the limitations of Qigong. Like some of basic principles we work with in Beyond Systems come from fitnesstraining, some from Yoga, some from ancient celtic roots, some stem from Qigong. Beyond Systems is quite a holistic way of learning and training, yet some people like a more basic structured less sophisticated way which Qigong offers. I don’t see any conflict in having both, different forms of Qigong aswell as Beyond Systems which is much more complete on the same website. One thing is for sure both will be influenced by each other no matter which class or workshop you attend. Merely the main focus differs slightly.

Can I become a Beyond Systems Instructor?

Yes, we offer a certification program that allows you to grow your basic Beyond Systems relevant skills module by module and be recognized as Beyond Systems instructor. You can then choose whether you want to add your own uniqueness when teaching and passing it on, or incorporate it in your existing practice as a coach, trainer, or teacher.

What benefit do I have from attending the certification program?

It is the most comprehensive training we offer at the moment. So if you really want to go deep and integrate what you find completely this is the best way to go, whether you want to actively pass it on or not. So even if you are not interested in the certification, it’s still a great way to learn as much as possible.

The certificate enables you to offer classes or workshops specific under the name Beyond Systems and gives you a great opportunity to integrate it with your own work.
In some cases it might even be recognized as solid foundation and experience when applying for a coaching or therapist education. (Some of my students used it as needed hours of previous experience in bodywork, stressrelief and coaching in Austria to apply for coaching certification programs.)
